About Matthew Kinzler

I’m a freelance Graphic & Website Designer working in Sturgis, SD. I’ve worked in agency settings and directly with clients as well since 2012.

Born and raised, left and returned; I live and work in Sturgis, SD. It’s not the largest place in the area, but it’s home. I’ve always had an eye for design, but decided to get a BFA in Graphic Design in 2011 and began working professionally in 2012 as a Graphic Artist for a local T-Shirt printing company. Around the same time, I began freelancing web design and found I had a knack for it. Since then, I’ve worked for agencies and provided freelance services directly with clients as well.

Graphic Design Services

Graphic Design encompasses everything from logos, brand identity, posters, T-Shirts, and basically anything that combines text and pictures in advertising, magazines, or books. One of the most important pieces of Graphic Design, and usually the first step in advertising, is a business’s logo design/brand.

Logos / Branding:

There are many different types of logos. Deciding which type of logo is right for you and your brand depends on the project, its target audience, and client needs.

Web Design Services

Website design includes the visual appearance and feeling of a website as designed considering User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX). It often includes the designer laying out pages in HTML and CSS, but primarily will be done through an image editing software like Photoshop. Website Development on the other hand, is the coding of a website’s “back-end” including code like JavaScript and PHP once the site design has been approved. I’ve developed WordPress and agency proprietary CMS websites since 2012, but I like to focus on design if I can. If you need ideas for someone that can develop your site, I have some options. Or you can choose your own developer and I’ll work with them to deliver the best possible results between concept and functionality.

A good website that is easily accessible should also include a mobile responsive design so that the site is tailored to different screen sizes.

Mobile Responsive Web Design:

As I mentioned above, mobile responsive design is important for any website. The images below illustrate a website design that is responsive to different screen sizes. The main point is to make the site look great and remain functional to more than just desktop computer users. Nearly everyone has a smart phone or tablet these days, so it’s important to design with that in mind.
